Though cleaning countertops seem straightforward, there's actually a lot to consider. First, need to remove stuck-on food, avoid damaging custom surfaces, you also need to find the best countertop cleaner that doesn't leave streaks behind.
How to Find the Best Counter Cleaner
No matter the surface, you only need two products: A great microfiber cloth and the best cleaner for countertops.
High-Quality Microfiber Towels
Our microfiber towels don't scratch, don't leave lint behind, and they absorb 7X their weight in liquid. Designed for use with all Puracy cleaning products, they're the most versatile and effective products for countertops.
Puracy Natural Surface Cleaner
You want surfaces to sparkle without causing damage. That's why we've formulated Puracy Natural Surface Cleaner with a base pH level of 10. Not only is this ideal for laminate, quartz, glass, Corian, and stainless steel, but it's also a Puracy marble cleaner you can count on!
Pro tip: Even diluted vinegar can etch certain materials like quartz and marble (see more below).
1. Clear Your Countertops
To clean correctly, you'll need to remove the miscellaneous items that get plopped there. Consider using a “catch-all basket” and finding homes for these objects later. Get rid of countertop appliances to avoid electrical issues and tackle the spots they normally cover.
If you can't move bulky appliances don't spraying them directly. Instead, use your microfiber towel as a protective curtain.
2. Clean in Patches
Breaking chores into smaller chunks gives every part of the counter the attention it deserves. Spritz each 2x2-foot segment with a single, sweeping spray. If you're dealing with messier areas, apply an extra spray and let the cleaning solution soak for at least one minute.
3. Use Streak Free Countertop Cleaners Correctly
Some surfaces – like stainless steel and black granite countertops – are prone to noticeable streaking. Avoid them by:
- Applying the right amount of cleaning product
- Using clean microfiber towels.
Get the Most out of Your Microfiber Towel
Fold your microfiber towel in half two times, then wipe with medium pressure in fast, overlapping passes. A Z-pattern has been tried and tested to provide a cleaning boost to every square inch.
Pro Tip: A second microfiber cloth may be needed for messes like grease or melted butter.
