Directions

To disinfect surfaces

Pre-clean surfaces prior to treatment. Spray and wet surfaces completely. Let stand and remain visibly wet for 10 minutes. Wiping or rinsing is optional.

To deodorize and sanitize non-food contact surfaces

Pre-clean surfaces prior to treatment. Spray and wet surfaces completely. Let stand and remain visibly wet for 60 seconds. Wiping or rinsing is optional.

Fruit and vegetable uses

This product is Ready-to-Use (RTU). To remove bacterial and spoilage-causing organisms, spray directly on raw or fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, sprouts, or spices and associated food contact surfaces. Allow contact for 60 seconds or more. Surfaces that contact the fruit or vegetables should be sanitized with this product prior to contact with fruit or vegetables, such as non-wood chopping blocks, countertops, or sinks. A post application rinse is optional.

Cleaning

Spray product straight onto soils and wipe clean with a dry paper or lint-free cloth.

Note: a slight vinegar smell is normal.

Is the Disinfecting Surface Cleaner more effective than homemade disinfectant?

When it comes to effectively disinfecting, our Disinfecting Surface Cleaner is the more thorough option when compared to homemade or DIY solutions. It kills more than 99.9% of bacteria in 1 minute and 99.9% of viruses within 10 minutes of soaking time.

What do you mean by “natural”?

For Puracy, a “natural ingredient” means it started from a natural, renewable source found in nature with absolutely no petroleum compounds. Here are some examples of “natural ingredient” sources we use: coconut, lime, salt, olive oil, sunflower seed, green tea, geranium, corn, ginseng, pink grapefruit, sesame seed, vanilla bean, and many more.

A “natural ingredient” may also be identified as plant-based, plant-derived, vegan-friendly, or naturally derived.

A “natural product” means that more than 98.5% of the ingredients, by concentration, are considered “natural ingredients,” per our definition above. Additionally, a “natural product” is 100% biodegradable, making it safer for the environment and climate.

What makes a good natural disinfectant?

One without sulfates (e.g. SLS, SLES, SCS), phthalates, animal byproducts, dyes, chlorine, bleach, or allergens.

Why should you disinfect your home/office using a natural formula?

Anything that comes in contact with your skin, hands, food, and the outside world should be regularly disinfected, especially high-traffic areas. Our CDC-approved, EPA-listed Disinfecting Surface Cleaner kills more than 99.9% of germs and viruses within 10 minutes. It also tackles grimy, sticky, and food-safe surfaces without caustic ingredients like chlorine, ammonia, and bleach. 

What is the difference between disinfecting surface cleaner and all-purpose cleaner?

Unlike all-purpose cleaners, disinfectants and sanitizing products use “antimicrobial pesticides” to kill germs. They're regulated by the EPA and pesticide regulation departments in various states.

Is bleach a good disinfectant?

Bleach is a cleaning and disinfecting “heavy-hitter” that's often used to neutralize life’s toughest messes. But the potential dangers of this compound could actually outweigh many of its benefits. The toxicity level of bleach depends on where it is applied, but generally, a safe level of concentration of chlorine bleach is between 600-800 ppm, with higher levels being dangerous to humans and animals. Chlorine bleach becomes toxic when combined with certain chemicals. Avoid mixing it with vinegar, ammonia, and rubbing alcohol.

What is the difference between cleaning and disinfecting?

Cleaning is usually done with water and soap or detergent. The CDC defines cleaning as, “the removal of germs, dirt, and impurities from surfaces'', usually by using a cleaning product, water, and agitation with tools (like a brush or towel). Disinfecting kills most germs, viruses, and bacteria on surfaces, and is usually done with chemicals and stronger bleach surfaces.

Does this disinfectant surface cleaner have a smell or aftertaste when used on fruits and veggies?

While we haven’t added any fragrance, this EPA-registered formula has the natural, subtle scent of vinegar when first applied. This quickly disappears, leaving an odorless, streak-free clean.

Are refills available?

Refills are not available for our Disinfecting Surface Cleaner.

We typically ship 3-4 business days after we receive your order. Depending on where you live, you can expect to have your order delivered to you in 4-7 business days. Orders ship from our fulfillment partner in Connecticut and our products are all made in America. We do not provide expedited delivery options at this time.

Once your order ships, a tracking number will be sent in a separate email. If you do not receive a tracking number via email, your order has not shipped.
